The Triwizard Tournament is to be held at Hogwarts. Only wizards who are over seventeen are allowed to enter - but that doesn't stop Harry dreaming that he will win the competition. Then at Hallowe'en, when the Goblet of Fire makes its selection, Harry is amazed to find his name is one of those that the magical cup picks out. He will face death-defying tasks, dragons and Dark wizards, but with the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione, he might just make it through - alive!

Review by Jake

I read this book because I wanted a challenge and I read the first Harry Potter books.

I would describe this book as mythical because of the different mythical creatures, from dragons and unicorns to trolls and goblins.

I liked how wizards and witches can live anywhere in the world and they fit in perfectly. I also like the Harry Potter books because of the detailed description of the Hogwarts grounds.

What stood out to me was that Harry is only famous because he is the only person in the wizarding world to survive the killing curse!

I would recommend this book the KS2 because of the death and violence, but this is definitely outweighed by the magical and inspiring side of the story!

Review by Gabe

I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire after the first Harry Potter books gripped me,

I would describe this book as a heart-wrenching, terrifying page-turner that you could read and re-read without getting bored. This is the perfect book from J K Rowling's wizarding world.

I loved the arguments, the action and mysterious characters such as Wormtail, Barty Crouch Jr and Mad-eye Moody.

Something that stood out was the rollercoaster ride that is the Triwizard tournament; a dangerous wizarding event hosted by Hogwarts.

I would recommend this book to reads of Skandar and Percy Jackson.
