Review

I will forever love any book that is written by Katie Kirby and the latest instalment of Lottie and her life dramas did not disappoint!

When TQOEG realise Amber isn’t coming back, they put their heads together and come up with a plan to resolve the drama. Meanwhile, Lottie’s chaotic family continue to be chaotic: Mum has returned to work and expects Lottie to take more responsibility around the house, Dad is still listening to the Bad Pancakes (embarrassing!), Toby has discovered a new way to wake Lottie up (a farting alarm clock) and Bella not only still loves bums but has found a new weapon – her teeth.

🌟Not only is this book brilliantly funny, but Katie Kirby has highlighted the fragility of our mental health (especially as a teenager) and the importance of reaching out for help when things are tough. I just love how this book will teach others that it is okay to struggle, but help can be found in your parents, friends, dogs or school and it is okay to ask for it. 🌟

Possibly my favourite Lottie Brooks to date (the School Trip and Chaotic Christmas being close runners up!)

Just when Lottie thought life might be going back to normal, everything goes wrong again! Amber’s hanging out with the Ultra Mean Girl Gang at school and is completely ignoring the Queens of Eight Green. Mum’s gone back to work and expects Lottie to ‘help around the house more’, Bella keeps biting everyone and Pot Noodle will not stop sniffing every dog’s bum. DISASTER!

Now Lottie has to come up with a foolproof plan to get Amber back before her friendship group is destroyed forever. What could go wrong???
