My Thoughts...

I was sent Bosun Bob The Salty Sea Dog in return for an honest review and I LOVE IT!

I was totally blown away by the gorgeous illustrations - I have never seen such beautiful artwork in a book, and the colours and scenes took my breath away. I am actually super tempted to frame some of these in my house because I just can't stop looking at them.

The story itself is gorgeous too, following little Bosun Bob's adventures across the open ocean, meeting lots of mysterious sea creatures along the way.

The rhyming storyline is just the cherry on the cake and makes it so much fun to read aloud. The vocabulary is really ambitious too, opening up lots of opportunities to develop language skills at any age!

🌟This is a must-have picture book for any class. My Year 5/6 children have started to read this (and the next in the series) and were also blown away by the glorious illustrations!🌟
